Yes - we design in line with Ofsted guidlines and early years standards, making compliance simple.

Can you include outdoor play areas?

Absolutely - we can integrate secure outdoor spaces as part of your project design.

How is modular construction different from tradtional buildings?

We use timber frame or SIPS (Structural Insulated Panels) instead of concrete blockwork. This makes our builds faster, more energy-efficient, and cost-effective — without compromising on strength or quality

What makes your buildings eco-friendly?

We take a practical approach to sustainable building practices, employing the use of smart sustainable materials, energy-efficient designs, intelligent heating & cooling technology and offer upgrades like solar PV, sedum roofs, and rainwater harvesting. We're also constantly on the look out for durable sustainable materials and practices to help us further our commitment to eco friendly construction methods.

How much do your buildings cost?

It's difficult to give an exact price, as each project is bespoke, but prices typically start from £1950 per square meter (+VAT), making them more affordable than tradtional builds (often £2,700+ per square meter).

How long does it take to build?

A typical stand-alone classroom, nursery or multi-use building can be ready in 4-6 weeks, compared to 6-9 months for tradtional builds.

What foundations do you use?

We often use ground screw foundations - galvanised steel screws driven into the ground to create a level platform. They can be installed year-round, are conservation-friendly, and avoid the need for heavy excavation. We also employ various different solutions depending on where you need the building.

Who are Eco Classrooms & Nurseries?

We are a UK based specialist in sustainable, modular buildings for education and beyond - with years of experience in construction and a commitment to eco-friendly, high-quality design. Giving schools a different option than the 'usual' out of the box solution.

How do I know what is the right solution for me?

We start every project with a free consultation (onsite preffered) to understand your space, budget, and goals. From there, we recommend the optimum building size, layout, and faetures for your needs.

What are SIPS?

SIPS are insulated foam panels sandwiched between OSB facings. They’re extremely strong, highly energy-efficient, and help keep running costs low.
