Project Overview

Set in the heart of a peaceful village, this bespoke nursery was designed to support the educational approach of Daisies Montessori School while respecting the character of the local community. The project delivers a calm, self-contained early years environment that balances learning, play, and wellbeing.

The Brief

Daisies Montessori required a dedicated nursery building that could comfortably support over 40 children, providing purposeful learning spaces alongside nurturing environments. The design needed to align with Montessori principles, feel calm and welcoming, and integrate sensitively within the surrounding village setting.

Sustainability and minimal disruption during delivery were also key considerations.

The Solution

We designed and delivered a bespoke early years building tailored to the school’s specific requirements. The self-contained nursery includes:

• Dedicated learning rooms
• A child-friendly kitchen
• Calm, nurturing spaces that support development and independence

Every detail was carefully considered to ensure the building supports both structured learning and free play, while remaining practical for staff and daily use.

The design was developed to sit comfortably within its surroundings, respecting the scale and character of the local community.

The Outcome

The completed nursery provides Daisies Montessori with a warm, considered environment that supports children’s growth and development in line with the school’s values. Delivered with minimal disruption and a strong focus on sustainability, the project reflects a thoughtful approach to early years design - caring not only for the school and its children, but also for the wider community and environment.
