Project Overview

Southam College required a purpose-built music academy that could support teaching, performance, and recording - while creating a distinctive identity on campus. The result is a striking 450sqm facility designed to nurture creativity and deliver professional-grade learning environments for students.

The Challenge

The college needed a dedicated space that could accommodate both classroom-based music teaching and specialist recording facilities, without disrupting day-to-day school operations. The building also needed to feel inspiring and contemporary, reflecting the creative nature of the subjects taught within it.

Our Solution

We designed and delivered a bespoke 450sqm music academy, featuring spacious teaching rooms alongside industry-standard recording studios tailored to support creativity, performance, and technical learning.

The building was constructed using traditional timber frame methods and delivered in just 16 weeks from concept to completion. The design incorporates personalised detailing to the front elevation and bold architectural lines, giving the academy a strong visual identity that stands out within the school grounds.

The Result

The completed music academy provides Southam College with a flexible, high-quality facility that supports both structured learning and creative exploration. Its specialist spaces enable students to develop practical skills in a professional environment, while the distinctive exterior ensures the building feels as inspiring on the outside as it is within.
